Bunessan Community Swap Shop, Scottish Borders

Bunessan Community Swap Shop

The "swap" shop is run as one part of the work of MESS - Mull and Iona Environmentally Sensitive Solutions.

The "swap shop" accepts any item, as long as there is a fair chance that it may be of use to someone else. The aim of the "swap shop" is to divert re-useable watse from the landfill sites and to encourage that re-use. Donated items include textiles, bric-a-brac and household items.

Since its inception in Summer 2003, the Bunessan Swap Shop has raised over £4000 from donated materials.
This money is recycled also into local organisations - Bunessan School PTA, Mull & Iona Gaelic Partnership, Young Musicians of Mull, The Ross of Mull Historical Centre and the Ross of Mull and Brolas Senior Citizens Arts & Craft Group are all on current list for future support.

Other groups which would like to be considered for future support should contact the volunteer staff at the Swap Shop.

Lists of items available and wanted are kept.

The opening hours are:
Thursdays 11am till 3pm.
Fridays 11am till 4pm.
Saturdays 10am till 5pm.

Contact during opening hours: 01681 700032
