Bunessan Community Centre

The building of the original hall was proposed as a way of thanking the returning servicemen after World War 1. A Committee was formed, the Hall built, and opened by Lady Haig. Originally built to be a Legion Hall, the building became a community facility offering bowling, badminton, ceilidhs and dances as well as Legion functions. It was the centre of village activities, with weddings, coffee evenings, evening classes and parties.

The new Community Centre was opened in 1990 after much fund-raising and hard work.
